Hair extensions. Please help i need you!!!?

Okay so..over the summer i cut my hair (which was like 6 inches longer than where my shoulders were) to just below my chin.

BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE! so now my hair is like a half inch below my shoulders and the wait for it to grow out is AWFUL. so i want extensions. so what i need to know is:

1. How long do extensions last)

2. Do they have them atthe salon, so next time i get a trim i could be like i want extensions.

3. Are they noticable. Can you see the bonds?

4. Can you swim with them in?

5. On a website i went on, it says to wash your hair everyother day, but obviously they haven't seen my hair when i wake up in the morning. To tame it i need to wash it everyday and blowdry it(i give it rests on the weekend by not wasing it and putting leave on conditioner on it)

6. Do they feel like your real hair, do you get used to them?

7. Anything else you wanna tell meha bout them?!

THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCED!

1) As long as you take care of them

2) Only certain salons carry them, so call ahead to be sure

3) No. No.

4) Yes, but braid them first

5) Only wash it every other day, Braid it every night and use leave in conditioner %26amp; spray ur brush with hairspray to tame it.

6) Not really. And Yes.

7) Make sure the person putting them in knows what they're doing..

Hope this Helps.. 閳?br>Hair extensions. Please help i need you!!!?

Well it sounds like you have your heart set on them. But they are bad for your natural hair. Also, you don't have to wash your hair everyday. You could just rinse it out and put conditioner on it, then dry and style it. Shampoo everyday isn't that good on the hair. Yes they have them at salons. You need to call first before you go to make sure. Not every salon does this and not every salon is good at it. You want someone that knows what they are doing. I know a woman that got extensions and her own hair got so tangled and matted with the extensions she had to almost have her head shaved. So look into it really good and good luck.

The #1 answer to all your questions is...it depends what kind of extensions you get. You will first have to think about what kind you want...real hair (you can shampoo and heat-style...looks real), synthetic (doesn't last as long, can't heat style, careful washing, can look fake), bonded to the hair, weave, etc. Google hair extensions and research first. The next step is to find a salon that does the extensions you want. Not all salons do them. You will have to go in for a consult first. They will need to look at your hair and usually need to order the extensions. Keep in mind that the better the extensions are the more $$ you are going to pay and the longer they will probably last. Good luck :)

Ok, here we go!

1. Depends on how you put them in. You can either glue them in, clip them in, or fuse them in. Gluing, they will look nice for probably 2 months tops, clipping you can take them out for showering and sleeping so they will probably last a year or two depending on how much TLC you give them, fusion ones you NEED to get dont in a salon, and you can keep them in forever if you take care of them. The only problem is that they are the most expensive and you need to pay for them to check them and move them up every 6 - 8 weeks. It gets very expensive very very quickly. I suggest clipping them in.

2. Yes, they have them at most salons. I would call ahead and get prices first, otherwise you can buy the clip in ones I suggested above at Sally's

3. Most of the time you can not nitice them

4. You should be able to swim in them, but I dont suggest it. The chlorine is going to be very hard on them and since they dont have all the natural oils your growing hair has once they are damaged there isnt much you can do about it.

5. I agree with the website. Washing them daily will wear them out quickly, so will heat like blow dryers, flat irons and curling irons. If you need to though, you need to. Make sure you shampoo inly when necessary and use a heat protector on your hair. (With clip ins this is not an issue as you can take them out to shower)

6. They should feel like your real hair as long as you get 100% human hair. You will be able to feel the tracks, but you should get used to them within a day or so.

7. Seriously, go to Sallybeauty.com and find a sally store close to you. They have them cheap, there very high quality and the workers will help you match your haircolor so you can have the most natual look possible. HAVE FUN!!! And dont settle for the $40 ones. They dont last. I would go with the Euronext 14" (about $60) or 18" (about $100)

Ok, My advice, get clip on extensions. Glue in extensions ruin your hair. If you get glue on, and you decide to take them out, you will have bald spots. seriously. And, If you get clip on, you can take showers as much as your wants and just clip em' in after. Also, if they are clip on, you can style them seperate from your real hair. It'll be alot easier. And, not to mention, clip on are cheaper and wayy easier to maintain.

Extensions last pretty long. (depending on brand and how you take care of them.)

It depends on the salon you go to.

It depends on how you put them on.

You wont have to if you get clip on extensions. But if you decide otherwise, or just wanna go swimming in clip on, it's ok every once in a while.

Alrady answered.

You could get real hair extensions. But those are expensive. And, there are different kinds of hair. So yeah, it could feel like real hair.

Hey, do me a favor, choose as best answer. I need to get to level 2. Please and Thanks.
