What is oyur opinion on hair extensions?

okay well long story short my hair had tons of layers couldn't stand them kep getting it cut till they were gone and now my hair is a bit above my shouler.....well im sick of short hair...its been like this for like a almost two years now....and i want to get clip in hair extensions....they cost like 40 dollars on sallys website....could i just get the black 18inch clip in ones

I have got extensions from Sallys before and the extensions are quite long but all you have to do is trim them up if you think they look to long on u =]
