Best type of hair extensions?

I need extensions cause my hair is uneven and so it's either chop it off or add extensions. I have clip-in ones which are great but I want ones that will stay in my hair. I know that there is glue, weave and sewn. Which is best and is there any other kind?

Best type of hair extensions?

hi i'm a hairdresser/hairstylist...same thing..

neway...i'm also trained in hair extensions and i wear hair extensions.

glue/bonded...glue wefts of hair on to ur scalp..if u value ur hair u dont wannab doing tht method. bonded...hair extensions strands with keratin bonds on the end are bonded to strands of ur hair via heating the keratin bond up. if done properly can look good but both glue and bonded r more likey to cause damage (extensions being too heavy and causing bald spots ala victoria beckham) and also the chemicals used to remove them can damage ur scalp if applied wrong. tend to cost an arm and a leg - usual cost is around 鎷?00-500...(i'm trained in this method and @ cost price its still 鎷?00) and also u usually need to change ur whole hair routine, as certain chemicals in products weaken the glue or bonds.

weave/sewn - own hair is braided into "tracks" and wefts of hair sewn in. simple lol. no nasty crap on ya hair and it gives hair a break from daily elements (brushing, straighteners, pollution etc) so it can grow and b fairly healthy. less likely to cause damage...only time it does is when braids r pulled 2 tightly and 9 times outta 10 u kno when its pulled too tightly so u can let the person doing it kno @ the time meaning it wont do ne damage. or if there is unevn tension i.e. one spot is particularly tight then the rest of the hair. can look alot more natural then bonded extensions...and u dont need to change ur hair routine too much, well shampoo wise neway. costs less 鎷?20.

with ANY type of extensions, u need to keep adding moisture...i.e. using conditioning treatments, using leave in conditioners etc.

me personally i wear weave in extensions - after doing alot of research and comparing the 2 methods etc this to b the more cost efficient and less likely to damage my hair (i had colour correction done so my hair couldnt handle ne more chemicals on it). if u wanna see pics let me kno.

email me if u got ne more q's!!

the ones that clip into your hair, very pricey but they are the best for your hair.

If you get them sewn in it should last longer and I wouldnt use glue it gets messy and could pull your hair out if you don't remove it correctly. Personally I like the clip-in weaves and I also recommend the half wigs where you blend the front part of your hair with the wig and it looks so natural, Jessica Simpson wheres them and she has her line of half wigs (also known as partial wigs, half weaves, instant weaves, etc.)

sewn. and get real hair, cause the synthetic ones look tacky. :)

Sensationnel Goddess Remi human hair....sew it in or clip it. They last anywhere from 4-6 months, and they don't tangle. Also the weft is thinner than most, so it is more comfortable than others.
