Help! Hair extensions and advice on a really bad haircut :(?

It's a week before my brother's wedding. I went in to my hairdresser yesterday to get my shoulder-length hair touched up. I can't explain it, but in a moment of weakness I let her talk me into a "short sexy new cut that would look great on me." I now have hair that is layered and really short (trimmed above the ear), kind of Winona-Ryder-like. When I saw it, I started to cry. It looks so awful! I HATE it and am panicking given that I have 1 week before a huge family event. Can I save this disaster with hair extensions? How much of my own hair do I need to have left to cover the roots of the extensions? I'm not concerned about cost, but I'd really appreciate some advice from people that have had this done. Thank you in advance.

girlfriend u r in luck i saw ur question! i am a hairstylist, and an extension specialist. the best way to have hair extensions applied is a strand by strand method using what we call micro-links, linkies, or extendotubes. there is no heat or unkindly glues or adhesives used. a strand of your natural hair is pulled through this little tube and then the extension hair is inserted, then i use a flat nosed plier to press it closed. when u r ready to remove or have them "tightened" back up, i use a special plier to open the tube back up and your natural hair slides out! no damage! however this service is not cheap i charge anywhere from 5 to7 dollars a strand, to do a full head u would probably need 200 to 300 strands. if u r any where near Orlando Fla , contact me! hope this info helps u!

I don't care what anyone says, extensions are damaging to hair. I would not get extensions,I would just work with the cut. You can curl it or put volume in it, I'm sure there is other things you can do with it. Good luck
