How long must my hair be for hair extensions?

Not too recently I had my hair cut very short, a short crop like Sarah Hardinges had. I have defenitely gone off my hair now and would like to invest in some good quality hair extensions. However I don't want to waste my money on hair extensions that I can't wear because my hair is too short. Does anyone know how long your hair has to be to put in clip-in hair extensions?

if you put clip in extensions in you are going to look like you have a mullet and i'm betting you'll be able to see the clips.

You could go to a salon and have greatlengths extensions put in. That is kind of what britney spears has.. since everyone else has said her name in their answer.

don't buy clip ins because it wont look good. Grow your hair out more OR be prepared to spend around 2000 on extensions.
