Real Hair Extensions on thick hair?

i have a lot of hair, my hair length is right under my shoulders, and i just want length like just a bit over my elbows, so i was planning on getting real hair extensions(clip on) also i want it to look really natural.

so i need to know some answers:

1) my hair is thick and since its shorter do u think u will be able to tell that im using extensions?

2) should i get my hair layered? so the extensions will blend in better?

3) i want to go get it done proffessionally like at a salon, do salons have real hair extensions?

4) will it look uneven, if the extensions are not at the same thickness as my hair and volume?

Also if you could tell me helpful things about real hair extensions like how much they would cost in canada, how many times i should wash them, how will the clip ons clip, can i cut them if their to long, can i sleep in with them?

thank you!

Real Hair Extensions on thick hair?

1) You can hardly ever tell when someone is wearing extensions.

2) Layers would help it blend in more.

3) Salons do it perminantly, clip-ins are done at home. If you want them glued in or weaved perminantly then salons will do it, with real hair.

4) You can get different thickness levels in hair extensions. Or just using more extensions would work the same. You can also style the extensions as though they were your real hair.

You have to wash them about once a week, they don't get greasy anywhere near as much as your hair because they're not attatched. I'm sorry i live in the UK i can't tell you how much they would cost. Not all that much though. They clip on really really easily, just like a normal small hair clip. You can cut them if they are too long and i wouldn't recommend sleeping in them as the clips will probably dig into your head...but they are very easy to take in and out.

Hope i helped!

I myself have thick hair, and you CAN get extensions and have it look really good!

You deff will want to get your hair layered so that everything blends nicely. If you want subtle layers you can always get your ahir thinned out (take a razor and make tiny cuts all over)

If you go to a salon you can find real hair extensions. The only problem with that is the price quickly jumps. (around 200-300 depending on where u go)

My friend was telling me that if you have either real of fake (i cant remeber) that if you wash your hair with hot water the extensions will curl on you, in order to keep it straight, you need to wash with cool water. (atleast wehn you do your last rinse in the shower) I am not too familiar with clip on extensions. The only prob with those it that they can come out very easily.

If you want something practical that you can sleep in, wash your hair, look natural then get real hair.

It will not look uneven if you have your hair thinned out just a little bit.

When you get the extensions you can have them match your coclor and texture of you hair so everything looks even.

Goodluck and im sure it will look great!!! :D
