Can you get lice from hair extensions. I have Hair Dreams Hair extensions and the stylist is denying any fault. I''ve only had them in for 3 weeks and now have a severe lice infestation. She wants to charge me to take them out and for new hair!! Any suggestions would be appreciated!

as a salon professional..it could in fact be your stylist has used a comb or brush that was not sanitized..meaning they use it on someone else before you and did not clean it..and this could be a possiblitity that you caught it from the salon..but not the hair...most likely this is the case in which i'm sorry to hear..but you should not go back to this stylist who is wrongfully charging you to remove the hair and for the cost of new hair..in my eyes this is wrong and verry unprofessional..your best bet is to do some research and dont pick the first name in your yellow pages but do make appointments with a few stylist and have them give you a hair consultation..dont be afraid to ask questions..look around and see how well kept up their shop is and as well as their personal work station..if you are gonna pay for removal and new hair cost might as well go to someone who can help rather than go to the person who could have caused this to begin with...
