But no, you can't if the extensions are synthetic. And I'm not even sure you'd really want to if they were real human hair. Ask your stylist for advice.

I think this question partly depends on your race when dealing with hair type, but when it comes to the fact that the hair is an extension, the answer is no. If you get you hair permed while other hair is attached to yours, it probably is defeating the purpose of straightening your real hair. A helpful hint might be to purchase extensions that are already straight to attach to your hair, and get a perm before you put it in.
