Hair extensions? (pics)?

okay, so i was gonnna get clip on hair extensions. getting them is fairly normal at my school, but peopleonly get them like to their 3rd ribbone at the longest

this is my hair, only now its like a 1/2inch longer and the highlights are blondish cause i went in the pool%26amp;sun to much and my roots show :D

so, would 22 inches be like really long?

like would be people be like, i cant beleive she did that?

how many inches hsould i get?

i think 22 inches is to long maybe go with 9 or 10, but nothing more, and i love your hair! are those side swept bangs? but i think you should keep your hair the way it is, its really pretty, its not worth risking.

synentic hair is really itchy and feels not like normal hair. I wish I went to your school so its normal to have extensions and wigs and stuff. I have a wig and people look at me weird even though it looks normal. but anyways.. you can measure from your scalp 22 inches and thats how long it will be. pretty long. and your hair looks like a dark alburn color.

I think your hair is cute already, but extentions wouldn't be bad, necessarily... I would go with whatever hair extention color matches your actual hair color the best.

I think you should go with the next shorter lenghth which is 18" I got ones that long and they were fine. also, if you want to go with a different style, like curly/wavy, instead of curling them with a curling iron which will cause damage and make them burt very quickly, braid them after you wash them. Just make sure if you do braid them, that its a bigger, thicker braid because if you do tiny ones, it will be a giant frizz mess! It's just a different look then completely straight hair. Synthetic hair is no beuno.

You can get clip in REAL hair extensions at Sallys Beauty Supply for $100. I believe they are 18"

You can, and probably should buy a color ring with swatches on it first. It only costs $30. That way you will no for sure you're getting a good color for your extensions.

Also, if you're worried about length, remember that they can be cut.

But alright.. I'm thinking 22 inches is a little long..

So maybe a little shorter(18-20?), so it won't be like a woahh-major change,you know ? But judging from the picture,It definitely wouldn't be too long if you went with the 22.So it's really up to you. I think 22inches would look good, but personally Id go a little shorter.

If your extensions are put in the right way then a guy shouldn't know they are extensions unless you want him to. Bottom line when it comes down to it, he ain't sleeping with your hair!

huh.... well you should definitely get extensions just as long as you are prepared to take care of them. i also went to Sally's beauty supply store to get mine and they were wonderful. get the real human hair and you can dye them, cut them, do basically whatever you want to them as you would with your normal hair. i have bleached mine and colored them and they still feel nice, not that "fake" feeling like some others i have felt. i did go with the glue in ones, and they never once hurt my hair or my head. taking them out was a little more difficult, b/c the glue is very strong, but if you are planning on having someone else do them, it should be a breeze. i enjoyed mine but be careful when washing them, they can come loose VERY easily and they will fall out, so if you do glue them, make sure that you can spend the extra time having someone wash your hair for you and then touch up the glue after wards. i hope you enjoy them, i know i have!

I get my hair extensions from Sallys Beauty Supply Store. The clip in kind because that is the only kind that won't ruin your hair. If you want colored synthetic extensions you can buy them online or find them in some kiosks at the mall

extensions can be cut and styled any way you want. they can be a pain to take care of and can cost a lot for good ones. and if you are adding considerable length they can give you a headache if you get the sewen in kind, which last the longest.

without any research I was desperate enough to trust a woman who used the hot fusion method to apply extensions to my hair. It looked great at first, but the hair was incredibly heavy and would dry out in a matter of days. I had to continue to go back to the salon.Anyway, I had them removed after a month of wear and was DEVASTATED by the results. My hair was twice as thin as it was before the application! I wore clip ins to disguise the damage. It is now over a year later and what has really seemed to help was a layered cut. However, the under layers are still very broken, short and somewhat sparse. I do not have any bald spots and the outer layer of my hair covers most of the damage. However, when I touch it and put it backthere are areas that are somewhat seethrough and thin. I was wondering if my hair has a chance to recover. I am taking ultranourishair, a gnc multivitamin for women and hairtopia.

I think you are doing everything right and yes your hair will recover it will just take some more time. As it grows out it will look better and better. Keep getting it cut regularly because this will help it grow better. My friend did the same thing and hers eventually got back to normal, it took 2+ years though.

Oh good gracious...sounds like what happened to me only your's sounds worse :( It's been a year???? Don't worry, with TLC I'm sure your hair will recover. After my terrible extensions were out I stayed away from heat styling (blowdryers, hair straightener) and styling products (hairspray, etc). I left my hair as natural as possible. Some products I used were Nioxin (shampoo/conditioner), Pantene deep conditioner, and a miracle product called Ojon hair treatment/mask (google it...it works!). Good luck to you!
